If four registers lower on the grade scale, yes. although "A" would probably translate to an eight, given "A+" and "A-"

9 is A++, 8 is A+/high A, 7 is A, 6 is B, 5 is high C, 4 is low C.

Yeah, "A+" is the highest ours goes to. I wonder what "F" would be over there.

Well, when we had letter grades, there wasn't anything higher than an A+, but 9 is the top 1 or 2% or something. It's equivalent to a really high A+, I believe.

F is 1, I think.
