Hah! No way! Ever since writing Maut as a mercenary for Mossflower Odyssey V, I've fallen in love with that version of the character. I wouldn't change a thing about either of them.

Sorry but, I hate Redwallian rats, with only a few exceptions (Blaggut, every land rat in Highwing's LoR, [plus the water rats from TSW] Liam from Samadhir's side-stories to TUC...)
It's only Redwall's rats though. I like real rats (though I'll stay away from wild rats, just in case they are diseased).

It's good. You'll likely arrive at the camp before we start out on our foraging adventure. There isn't much for me to say at the moment, but that can change. @Firestripe could conceivably say something, maybe Belladonna.

I'll see if I can't get a post up today.

Ya said we should have a few beasts join up from both crews. If I remember correctly, someone said it was mostly manned by rats.

Oh. Well, the surviving ones don't have to be mostly rats. As it stands, I think there are only a few rats in our group. They're certainly a minority.

Saw your post. You want Maut and Veach to be seen by or bump into Firestripe?

Yeah, I was thinking they could bump into each other or something along those lines, if you wanted.  Firestripe walks with a limp, so he's has a bit of trouble moving quietly, but on the other hand (paw) his fur is mostly black, so he tends to conceal well.  Taking that into account, you can have your chars act accordingly for them to meet up

Already posted. Btw, if you're wondering about Maut's thought's on Firestripe's size, I imagine these guys to be about the same size as their real-life species, give or take. You have him be six-foot-tall, suggesting you imagine them human-sized.

Hmmm, I think we're playing the species in general as being vaguely human sized depending.  He is supposed to be on the larger size, though, so it works 

Though, the only reason I think of them like that is because the size of the world around the creatures (excluding, like, the first three books) seems to imply it, though that's really just my opinion.

Well, the TV show has the shrews be shorter than the mice, the mice be shorter than rats, rats be shorter than foxes, etc. and cover art kinda depicts the same, sooo... *shrugs*

Btw, digitigrade or plantigrade? I think of them as essentially animals on their hind legs (digitigrade) with arms and hands that are slightly human-ish so they can grab things, but, unless you go by the TV series, graphic novel, games, etc., there's no "one true way to imagine the characters".

I tend to think of them as mostly anthropomorphic, personally.  Not fully human shaped, of course, but somewhat close.
