Sorry for the wait I shall attempt to get something up in the next few days been rather heavy at the Safeway with big loads to stock.

Sebias of Redwall

One thing that I realized is that it's going to be hard to have my character actually drive the plot forward with his posts. Like, I'll still try, but it will probably be a little hard since he's not a leader of a band or anything.  :giggle:

Yeah, it is a problem prisoners often come across. They find it difficult to control a situation and move it where they want. Funny, really.

Ok I had a post half written before I remembered that while I may be the creator of this thread I didn't want to hoist things upon your characters with what I was typing so instead I shall post the brief here and ask for feedback before going ahead;

It would be about four days to a week ahead in time. The crew would have sorted out a spot in the forests near the dunes and set up some make shift shelters with Elegon helping them become more so foragers and bird hunters. Recently the group even got a small crab! Yay! Most of the former enemy crew became crewmates themselves and mostly everything is going well with the new arrivals joining too. Unsure about the Squirrel really.

But the post would end with some hares arriving to inform the grand Pirate Elegon about the skirmish with the new wave scum that didnt go well and how he was needed to help form up the new patrollers to deal with this threat. With Capn Foxo likely overhearing and then forming up the crew to secure their place on the mountains good side while also likely securing themselves a new ship to leave if it went well.

Thoughts?

Mara the Wolf

Meh. I was hoping they go further inland, explore Mossflower & the Northlands, but that's just me. Here's hoping the Badger Lord & his Long Patrol aren't like Urthfist and his hares (read: vicious, hypocritical, highfalutin racists).
Fursonas:
Riley: Mountain lion, Sonic the Hedgehog
Amara: African wild dog, The Lion King/The Lion Guard
Masika: Eurasian river otter, Redwall
Mara: Wolf, general

shisteer of nothing much

Hmmmm... I was actually planning on murdering most of Keelteeth's crew and burying them in the graves they so kindly dug, since Mharbrow (the member) isn't active anymore and Lass wanted her character killed off anyway. It's just inconvenient to have so many NPCs to keep track of and murdering them seems a lot more piratish. (These are our characters and they're going to join forces with the Long Patrol, but they're still pirates and Mharbrow had a reputation for being particularly unmoving when it came to enemies)
They will also be in their current spot for at least four days while Belladonna recovers. Salamandastron is several days away and all the hares have been called back to the mountain, as was mentioned in Wylder's post several pages back. Only one hare was left behind to fetch Elgon and none of the Long Patrol know he's been captured by pirates, so I don't really see them bringing a message to Elgon. (Besides, he was only one very young hare, so he'd be the least of their worries. He's relatively new himself)
If you like, I could do a post to get matters a little more tidy before we do the big timeskip. There are just too many things unresolved at the moment.

We could always explore after or perhaps in a different thread if people wished. We've just lost a few players for this one so that may be tricky.

Thanks for the little update post Shisteer that helps organize things and that's also a great idea to lower the npc amount before the big action. Would help show the new prisoners what's up too. If you would make that post I'll do the time skip after :)

Here's the list of everybeast so far: (I don't think I've missed anybeast, but I may have)

Bladewave;
Captain -
 Captain Dyemhar. Teer's character

Name: Captain Mharbrow PhantomPaint. (though everybeast calls him Cap'n Dyemhar)

Role: Captain of Bladewave.

Species: Fox.

Gender: Male.

Age: Nobeast knows, though the cap%u2019n seems to have a lot of experience.

Appearance: Light tan fur that%u2019s been dyed and tattooed in so many places that it%u2019s more dark green dye than plain fur. Each tattoo is of a different vanquished enemy and Mharbrow makes sure his rivals know it. He wears a light tan tunic with a broad belt around the waist which holds his three scabbards. He wears a tan scarf on his head and a leather thong around his wrist.

Personality: He prides himself as a strategist and tactician, thinking over every aspect of something before he places his trust in it, whether it be a friend, ship or new type of food or wine. Being evil and inclined to betray someone if bribed enough, he is also very suspicious of other beasts doing the same to him and he never tells his entire plan to one beast, but rather only tells each beast the task he needs to carry out.

History: Born on the frigid coast of the north, Mharbrow grew up as the youngest of four boys. His father was a corsair captain and, on a visit home when Mharbrow was twelve seasons old, the young fox asked his father if he could come pirating with him. His father laughed harshly, cuffed him round the ears and continued drinking. Filled with rage and hate, Mharbrow killed his father and three brothers, then took command of his father%u2019s ship and sailed away with any family treasures they possessed. His family members were the first to join the list of vanquished enemies and Mharbrow has continued pirating ever since, completely merciless to both victims and crewbeasts alike. Nothing aboard his ship escapes his notice and nobeast that displeases him has the chance to do it again.

Weapons: Mharbrow carries two long scimitars, which he wears on either side of his waist and fights with at the same time. He also has a long dagger which sits on his right hip.

Other: Mharbrow absolutely detests hedgehogs.

First mate -
Firestripe. Kade's Character

Name: Firestripe
Age: 24 years/seasons
Gender: Male
Species: Fox

Ship: Undetermined, probably whatever ship Teer captains.
Position: First Mate

----------
Bio
----------

Physique/Fur/Looks/Clothes
Firestripe is a beast of a fox.  He stands well over 6 and a half feet tall with a body of muscle that he's built over the years through labor and purposeful exercise.  Being physically stronger than most, he tends to make use of this advantage whenever possible in battle.  The soft, thick fur that covers him is dark, almost black, and interspersed with specks of silvery grey.  On his head, the regular orange-red fur of a fox manifests itself as double crescent moon shaped stripes with the points coming together just above his eyes and at the base of his skull.  This, of course, is where his name comes from.  His one good eye is grey with speckles of gold barely noticeable, and sits beneath permanently furrowed brows, giving him an ever-present scowl.  Where his other eye used to be is now an eyepatch, a scar visibly running underneath it from above to below.  He has a number of other ugly scars across his body as well, but his fur is thick enough that they aren't usually visible.  Another notable thing about him is the way he walks.  He doesn't have a wooden leg, but he still walks with a permanent limp; a leftover gift from a long dead foe.  Because of this, he isn't exactly light on his feet, and running is a bit difficult for him.  The best he can usually manage is a short sprint.  He has no tattoos nor piercings, and is actually fairly well spoken for a sea vermin.  Some of the crew has even gone as far as saying that he sounds like "a real gen'le beast", much to his amusement.  In battle he wields a pair of large sabers made especially for him and a number of throwing daggers tucked into the back of his belt.

Personality

He's quite a docile fellow, as far as wave vermin go.  Unlike most pirates, he isn't one to go around drinking and making a fool of himself.  It's much easier for somebeast to take advantage of you when your mind is muddled like that, in his opinion.  He also isn't one to be needlessly cruel, preferring to get along with those under him (and above him).  Of course, vermin being vermin, he has to put down fools when need be, but he tries to keep that to a minimum.  He's found that life is a lot easier when people like you, that way you don't have to worry as much about somebeast trying to stab you in the back.  He still raids and pillages as any pirate does, but he sees it more as a necessary evil to survive.  No "goodbeast" would ever treat him with any sort of decency, he learned that the hard way, so he'll take what he needs.  Despite his "friendly" demeanor, he rarely trusts anybeast enough to label them as a friend, and so generally has a detached feeling towards others.

History

Firestripe once had a mother and father, Menala and Zierstune, and once had a different name, though what it was has been long forgotten.  When he was young, they'd been a part of a roving band of vermin lead by a stupid, but strong ferret by the name of Chogutt.  They were a vicious group, killing and stealing wherever they went and constantly fighting other groups for territory.  Of course, as the way things go, eventually their group fell and was absorbed into another.  During the transition, though, somehow his family had gotten on the wrong side of the new chief.  His parents enabled him to escape, though it cost them their lives.  After that, he traveled on his own for a long time.  He was young during that period, and didn't trust other vermin after what had happened, so he tried to find woodlanders, goodbeasts, to help him.  Unfortunately he was large for his age, appearing to be a young adult, and so had been nearly killed by any he'd had the courage to approach.  Through that, he learned not to trust the so called "goodbeasts" either.  Though the years were tough, he eventually found work on a ship, taking to the sea and never looking back.  Here was where he learned how to deal with other beasts, to make them like him and thereby protecting himself from them.

First mate -
Navigator -
Tulian. Joined Mharbrow. Faclan's character.

Name: Tulian Audor (Often just called Keeneye by the Keelteeth crew)
Role: Keelteeth navigator
Species: (Sea)Rat
Gender: Male
Age: 25

Appearance/Role: A smaller rat Tulian is half a head shorter than the standard Crew rats and so almost two heads shorter than the Captain himself. This smaller size compliments his position however as the Map Reader and Navigator as its easier for him to quickly clamber up the rigging to ensure they are going on the right track. But when it came to ship to ship or ship to shore battling the smaller rat wasnt well suited. And the Captain wouldnt want to lose such a key component of the ship to a random arrow or spear thrust. As such Tul doesn't have the most combat experience. The fur of the rat is light brown with dull green eyes as well as a green headband as then a simple vest and shirt. With puffy pants and no boots. Often with a rather large belt full of writing materials and a Sextant. With a long dagger hanging down the back of that near his tail. All of these have become water logged and damaged since the battle.

Personality/Skills: As a smaller rat without a good punching or stabbing paws Tulian grew up on the ship to be quiet and rather submissive. Not often putting his thoughts into ongoing conversations or taking a side when things got heated. Often just clambering up to watch from a Spar or Clew. It didn't help that he was one of the only Crew members from an educated background which often made him the butt of jokes. But drawing out and understanding maps and written directions needs a bit of learning. However this didn't help his actual upbringing of port life. A far port. So the rat has a very thick accent that make many thing he is a simpleton until they see his writing.
Example;
'Hello Shipmate, how are you today?'
' 'Ey Sh'p'me't! a're ye' ta'dai?'

History:
Born in as mention a far port from Mossflower Tulian had a rather large family growing up and even during his younger seasons he was the runt of the family. Which in the end worked out great for him as many of his larger sisters and brothers met their end on the point of a cutlass or drowned drunk and he instead attended the impromptu naval school on their island. It was little more than an old retired Captain giving lectures of his life on the dock but it helped many of the youth that listened a job off the island. Which was the case with the young rat as he found out that he had a very steady paw and was good at figures. Learning all about knots and bearings to help ensure vessels were on their correct course. He had gone through two vessels before arriving on the Keelteeth. Both trading and trasport vessels with raiding as a side gig. He on the whole wasnt a fan of the Keelteeth but even he could see that jumping ship at port would make him end up like his brothers and sisters so the rat wisely kept quiet and just tried to avoid making enemies in the crew.

Backstory: Not a whole lot to tell. Wrackfur was never any good at farming, but found himself to be quite talented at terrorizing. He survived as long as he has by, ironically, being more peaceful and %u201Cmature%u201D than the rest, leaving bands that planned to attack goodbeast strongholds. He joined the patrol, having distinguished himself in the defense of the colony, and later departed south to Southsward on an extended campaign deployment. Thanks Shisteer that was very helpful :D

Yeah, sorry about that. We just had to get things moving and such. Generally the protocol of this situation is that you can reply to things that happened before, as long as you end at the same place the last post ended or further along than that.
