I always imagined that it was similar to a gardening fork. You know, about the size of a trowel.

I saw the picture, awesome stuff man!  I shall be making it my avatar soon.

Also, my enchanted fork and magical spoon are sized correctly.  On the outside, they appear to be regular dining utensils; it isn't the size that gives them their power, after all.
