Click Here, and start reading to get the full background behind the concept of Whaleware. (Warning: Very Long Read)." Click that and it takes you to a forum where people made it up, I believe? (I only read the first page of that because it is, indeed, a very long read.)

Also, if you click the Japanese sentence near the top on the Whaleware site, it takes you to a video from an anime, and I think the beginning word in Japanese (Wareware) is what somehow turned into Whaleware.
