Ah, okay. I just thought it might be something that they're not too keen on.

I mean, they're pretty chill with most things. The only fandom they have actually discouraged is Harry Potter. Everything else is more a case of them rolling their eyes and pointing out that I'm wasting time on unimportant things.

Is happiness unimportant?  If it makes you happy, and you don't go overboard with it, then what's the harm?

Agreed. Heh, I'm using Duolingo to learn Welsh, and today a little thingy popped up saying 'In ten minutes a day you can learn a language. WHat can ten minutes on social media do?' My response is 'Ten minutes of language learning. The social media all afternoon. Problem solved.'

I mean, yeah, happiness is important, but I get happiness from dancing, music and making other people happy, among other things. I've never really been a movie person.

No no, I didn't mean that you needed to watch movies to be happy.  I meant that at "wasting time on unimportant things".

Dancing and music can be seen as entirely unimportant if you aren't planning to use them to make a living.  BUT, they make you happy.
