Well, I haven't read them all, unfortunately, only the first two.  I've seen the movies of course.  From what I recall, they're pretty good (as most of the world would likely agree).

In my opinion, you shouldn't be put off from them just because of the witch and wizard stuff.  It's just fiction, ya know?  If someone here is going to be worried about that, then they shouldn't read Redwall either.  It has seers and weird mystical stuff in it as well   Though, not to the same extent, of course.

My opinion also. I was not intending to read the Harry Potter books because I thought my parents might not be so happy about it, but then my mum suggested we read them together 'cause they look like cool books, so...yeah.

Regardless, the story is fictional and doesn't try to pretend or tell anyone that the contents of the books are real.

Like, some of the spells were taken from witchcraft and black magic used by people in real life. But then again, I don't know which ones they were supposed to be for certain. I'm not against other people watching/reading them, it's just not my personal taste.
