If you want the image itself to show up, just put it the *img**/img* tags around it (except using [] instead of **, of course), and as long as it's a jpg or png or some sort of image file, it'll show up like in the spoiler I quoted above  ^-^

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.
