The Traveler looks up to see a black cloud approaching and takes cover in a partially demolished building

He watches of a flock of winged Shadows pass through the area on the hunt...

CB-1 flies over carrying several glowing crystals

Good. And just in time...

After setting the sleeping Infant down, the Mysterious Traveler removed CB-1's charging canister from his back and began feeding it the crystals which are converted and deposited into smaller canisters as Cosmic Energy.

Adding them to his current stock, he straightens up and returns CB-1's canister to his back.

This should be enough for now...

We should bunk here till the coast is clear...

CB-1 settles down onto the top of his canister as he sets himself to 'Charging Mode'

The Traveler covers Infant Lass with his cloak before reclining in the corner of the room, resting as he always had, with both eyes open and active...

The Next Day

A Red sun is in the sky as the Traveler, Infant Lass and CB-1 continue making their way through the desolate land.

CB-1 was scouting for food and has now returned, offering Infant Lass a chocolate bar.

* Infant Lass, who is by now wide awake and scampering ahead, then back again

* Infant Lass bounds around the Mysterious Traveler's feet

The Traveler watches Infant Lass

If he was smiling or not, he wasn't showing.

Suddenly he stops and points.

The ruins of a fortress is seen ahead.

There's our goal... For now...
