I find it imteresting that the U.S. has separate jelly, jam, and jello, while so many other countries do not.

And I don't fully understand how jello gets labled alongside jam and jelly.  To me, it's a completely different thing that is hardly related :giggle:

Mmmmmmbut they aren't the same things! We have jello, jelly, and jam (and preserves, though I'm reasonably certain most countries do too.)

Jelly, jam, and preserves are the same things. Except jelly and jam are sometimes just artificially flavored cornstarch syrup (because restaraunts are cheap and want to save as much money as possible), but preserves are always the real thing. Jello is what Brits call jelly.

To an extent, but there are key, undeniable differences between jelly, jam, and preserves.
