hey so recently i have gotten into comics what are your opinions on them and some of your fave comics

Spiderman.   That's about it for me.   

I like some of Marvel's other works, and I'm a huge fan of Stan Lee, but I think Spiderman comics are the only ones worth buying, and even then I only buy the large collections that they print, since there's just way too much to wade through and find the good ones. 

As for manga, I only read a couple, being
Yotsuba&! because it's absolutely adorable and I have a lot of experience with little kids so I can A) sympathize with the characters other than Yotsuba, and B) say "Oh yeah, that's exactly like a little kid."

Bakuman, because I think it provides an interesting perspective into the world of manga artists and writers, and it's made by two well-known and highly-thought-of artists. 

And lastly Ultimo.  Stan Lee gets an idea, pitches it to a great manga artist, and you get awesomeness.  Robot dolls that kill each other.  Yeah.

As for manga, I only read a couple, being

Words cannot describe how much I love Yotsubato! I don't know what it's like in English, but if it's anywhere near as hilarious as it is in Japanese then I HIGHLY recommend it to EVERYONE. I'm like you Bragoon, I work with little kids a lot of the time, and I can definitely sympathise with a lot of the situations that the characters find themselves in. It's pretty much the only comic that can make me laugh out loud. Have you read Azumanga Daioh by the same author? It's also very, very funny.

I also like Watchmen (not recommended for our younger members) and Mouse Guard.

I like Jumbo a lot.  The way he acts around Yotsuba is a lot like me, rather goofy but still sensible (although Jumbo is a lot more weird than me, I promise.)

I haven't read it, although I'm interested in it, since it's by the same artist.  


Not to say anything against you personally, Rakkety Tam, but I have no intention of trying Bone, since the only people I know who read it are very strange.

well the book is quite wierd but just as wierd as most other books and we all have different opinions on stuff like that if u like sort  of mideveil fantasy stuff with dragons and such u would probably like it but it is realy weird but awsome to mme

they are a publisher. like marvel is a publisher. but Black Horse makes the best comics

Dark Horse makes the better comics. the others are filled with half cent anime
