Strength wouldn't help you be skilled with that thing, though. It's doesn't look well-built at all, and trust me, I've studied all sorts of swords. The only way someone could wield that thing gracefully would be in a video game.

Yeah, it's a really good one, but it'd take training to use.

I've always wanted a sword! There is a shop at the beach 4 hours from my house that sells some swords and last night I asked my dad and he says if I save my money I maybe can get one!!!!!!!How do you get training??

It depends on what you want to learn how to use.  There are very different fighting styles for different swords. 

In my area, which is populated with many U.S. Marines and their families (and therefore prone to the more violent arts), there are one or two Kendo practitioners willing to teach people, Kendo being a more modern version of traditional Japanese sword-fighting (I.E., you'll learn how to use a Katana). 

On the other hand, you'll have a much harder time finding someone to teach you how to fight with a Broadsword of some sort, so in that case you'd be better off researching some books that would teach you the form and strategies, and then form a practice schedule based off of that.  If you choose to go that route, I would suggest "Sword in Two Hands" by Brian Price. 

My dad also has a quite old book titled "The Art of Fencing" that I very much enjoy.  Fencing is a little more difficult than broadsword-fighting, in it that it has more rigid stances and techniques, but there are also fewer of them so it's a little easier to learn in that respect.

I prefer a medieval-style of fighting, and I've actually taught myself using several resources.

That's precisely what I did. I have a broadsword now, and it's a hand-and-a-half, which is awesome, 'cause I've wanted one for years.
