Yeah, the Tagerung riddles didn't help them find Deyna, just a bunch of pieces of fabric, when Cregga could have just as easily told Mhera those things herself.
It was like  BJ just put them there just for the sake of riddles, like a time filler for the book. I saw alot of that in Marlfox as well, though Taggerung had the worst of it.

Life is too short to rush through it.

Hon Rosie's laugh in the audiobooks.  It's meant to be annoying, and it most definitely is.  I think it's part of the reason why my sister refuses to read the books; she heard Rosie's laugh quite a bit when I had the audiobook of The Bellmaker playing while she was doing something in my room and she just got so disgusted with it she didn't want to give any of the other books a try.

The Shade

I hate the fact that, in Mossflower, Gnoff and Martin at the river, have instantly become sling mice.  It takes YEARS to become good with a sling, and than BAM!!!!There you go, crack shots immadily.

And the same thing happens in The Long Patrol. Here's Tammo, a young and uexperinaced hare.He goes though his jounrny, and arrive's where the battle takes place. Then, where their all throwing their weapons to see who can win the ribbon, BINGO!!!!!!!! Suddenly he's a expert knife thrower.

I just don't get it :/
They told me I was gullible. I believed them.

It is well known that 47% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Russa nodrey showed tammo how to throw a blade I know this because at the end a shrew asks him where he learned to throw a blade like that and he said a good friend of mine showed me her name was Russa Nodrey or something like that  ;D and martin learned to use a sling when he was young his dad showed him and Gnoff just always knew how  ;D don't argue with me on this one I've researched this a lot   :D

I also get annoyed when I'm left on a really big cliffhanger!

UGH!!! I HATED the riddles in Pearls of Lutra!
Woah woah,I adore those riddles!  :o

Then again, maybe it's because they actually have a purpose - finding the pearls.

For me, reading the very detailed food scenes when I'm hungry is annoying.
Haha, so true!

Annoying things for me would be:

- Blaggut's treatment in the Bellmaker - ok it was all good in the end, but I always felt sorry for him, between his captain, and some of the quick-to-judge characters like Oak Tom.

- Scarum - there's gluttony, then there's being a hare... and then there's Scarum. At first it was a bit of light hearted comedy and he was a likeable character, but I feel BJ went too far with him; so much so that some scenes are almost embarrassing to read.

- Martin shouting his own name as a war-cry - just a bit strange.

- Bryony - oh my goodness, what an annoying character!

That's all I can think of at the moment; I'm sure there are plenty more.
My ears, how are you, wot!

Dangit!  :D I wanted to say that! You beat me to it.

Just a bit of reimbursement, Martin lived on a coast that had a high raid threat, of course he's going to be trained to wield a weapon appropriate for his size, same with Gonff, they were under repression and he was in the resistance. And yeah, Russa taught Tammo.... 'nuff said.

Seriously, Ungatt? That's just unreasonable. Humph! *Leaves topic, never, EVER to return*

The Skarzs

What is annoying to me is the stereotypical good creatures and bad creatures. Yes, there was the odd well-hearted vermin, and the equally rare cruel and nasty woodlander. But come on: there is potential for good and potential for bad in every mind.

Put differently: the amount of evil a person can do, that is the same amount of good he can do.
