I'm confused...there is that moderator called Redwall abbey thingy and they have a whole bunch of stars, and the Matthias person is a global moderator?? I'm very confused right now!!

The user "Redwall Abbey" is not a moderator, they're a Administrator and creator of this board. As a result of their group/position, they have the stars they have.

Global Moderators have similar stars, though SMF's way of managing Moderation is a bit different from what I'm used to, I think anyway.
