Ashe odserved Mobble's attepmts to get at the sword, and then said, "You know, It would help you quite a bit if you got something to stand on."

OOC: Fine then.

It was the next morning. The ships were ready to set sail. They were packed with provisions and vermin eager to leave the island for the first time. Fellam stood at the helm of the largest ship, making sure that nothing was amiss. He was ready. At his signal, the boats were shoved off the shore, and they were off! Sailing through the open sea.
Well, almost.
"Curse these sandbars!" Fellam slashed angrily at the water as the boat became firmly wedged in a sandbar, forcing all of the other boats to drop anchor and wait.
An searat bravely ventured up to him. "General Fellam, we need to wait for high-"
"Gah, shut up!" Fellam suddenly remembered the way he was acting. He sheathed his sword and turned to the rat. "Tell me something. Do you want to remain alive?"
The rats eyes widened. "O-only to serve y-you, General!"
Fellam nodded with a dignified air. "Good, very good. now, don't correct me! We'll wait for the high tide right here."
The rat ran off as Fellam sighed through his teeth. "This could be more difficult than I thought."

Ceteruler stood gazing out from his forge chamber window in the mount of Salamandastron out over the sea. He like to just sit there and ponder over whatever suited him. It was... Calm. Tranquil. Refreshing and Relaxing. Watching the waves lap slowly up the shore in their never ending quest for erosion, the gulls circling the shores, looking for something to eat, or the clouds racing each other in a sky equally blue as the sea, all of these he enjoyed as his thoughts ran away with him. He was currently thinking about how much peace had been enjoyed in the past few seasons. He had had plenty of time to make new weapons, plant vegetables, and brew drinks. That was what he really enjoyed. War did not suit the badger as well, but he nevertheless took up his broadsword when the need arose. His gaze roamed along the horizon. How long would this peace last?

OOC: Nice joc Cete! And thanks for posting! BIC:

Terib Lang Sequin the mountain hare was training newer recruits in the use of the sword, "Higher Bergul! Higher! Too high now young lad! wot! bring it down a smidge!" he was having some difficulty, "Hold it, much better young chap. Drummel, step up me laddo! Sharpish! wot wot!"

OOC: I will go through this training exercise over a few posts.

Ooc: thanks and you're welcome.
I have to say the above post just flowed off my fingers. It was fun to write.

BiC: As the noise Of Terib Lang Sequin's shouts to the new recruits floated upto his ears, Ceteruler smiled to himself.
"Those young scamps will learn a spot of discipline by the end of the day," he muttered to himself. And it was necessary. Almost all of The seasoned warriors from the last war were old. They would not be able to fight. The newbies would have to carry most of the army on their back if a war was to occur soon.
He sighed. "Let's hope that doesn't have to happen."

Wisteria Wild Cat

Mobble whipped around, tripping on the hem of his habit. "Who-? Whaah!" He fell right onto his nose, whimpering. "Now wook what you dis to meh! Mah nose bees broken!"
I am so unbelievably busy at the moment, (BECAUSE I'M MOVING!!!) if you need me, which you most likely won't, PM me!

Ooc: thanks for wanting to hear more. That means a lot to a writer like myself.

BIC: Having finally escaped from the sandbar, Fellam was a little more at ease. He no longer stood angrily on the helm of the lead ship, but now resided in the General's quarters. Sipping at a glass of strong drink, he decided that he would go see what his soldiers were saying and thinking. Forgetting about his drink, Fellam quickly donned his black cloak, doused the lantern, and slipped out of the door. He headed over to the place where most of the vermin were rowing the oars. He flattened himself against a wall and listened to the nearest vermin talking.
Ooc: can I get someone to eavesdrop on, please? ^_^

OOC: Okay, I'll play as some disposable vermin guy  ;) BIC:

Glorphim was having a temper about having to row the ship, "Why do we have to do this back breakin' labor mates?" He whispered to a rat near him (he's a stoat) "This is work meant for slaves!"

Ashe
The rough squirrel couldn't help but smile at Mobble's reaction, "You're one of the creatures that signed up for training right? Because the training is going to be a lot worse than falling on you nose," he said teasingly.

Terib Lang Sequin
"Righty ho young Drummel! Hold that Rapier vertically. Wot! Wot! VERTICALLY! Not horizantally! Don't you know your horizon from your.. your..er.. never mind.
*Drummel gets it right this time* "Much better me laddo. Now, from there I want you to defend from a series of sideways slashes.. Ready?"
*fwishhhhh!* Clang! *Ziiiip!* Ting! *Fwwwwooop!* SMACK!
*Drummel rubs neck*
"Quicker, quicker next time young'en! And don't you worry if you miss a few times, that's what training is for. Wot! Wot!"

Strunga Axewielder
The fox was sitting just in front of Glorphim and mttered under his breath, "Better stow that kinda gab mate!"

Fellam's eyes glimmered dangerously. So, his crew was discontented, was it? He stowed that information for later. But there was no need to kill that stoat just yet. He would lose respect in front of his horde, thinking he had become even more tyrannical. That would never do. He noted Strunga's behavior. So they were fearful, too? Fellam's face fell a little. That simply wasn't good. He didn't want to lead out of fear, but respect. What could he do to change that? Give them a break for now, and let what little wind there was push them for now? Yes, he decided that would work for now. Stepping out from his hiding place, he rapped out a sharp command that could be heard across all boats. "Ship oars and take a break for the rest of the night!" He glanced at Glorphim's turned back. Just you wait, stoat, he thought.

Wisteria Wild Cat

Mobble looked away sheepishly. "Aye, I singed up. I wanna do what I can ta help! I feel so useless 'round 'ere..."
______
Coraka polished off her beaker of pennycloud cordial and sighed. Staying at  Redwall was a dream come true, but it was making her soft. Fauve took another bite of the peach she was eating, giggling as the juice ran down her cheek. "What's wrong, Coraka marm?" The mousemaid asked, concerned for her friend. The Raccoon answered quietly. "We have gret beats ready to help us on our quest to Salamandastron. But we don't even know how to get there, and we haven't quite figured out what Martin said to Ashe. I feel like I'm getting old, but I'm to young for that!"
Suddenly Fauve jumped up, pulling on Coraka's paw. "Come on then! I'll race ye to the pond!" And with that the two friends were off.
