Return of the Jedi was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater, and I lived, ate and breathed Star Wars (and Star Trek!) for almost the next 20 years.  Then George Lucas did that horrible thing I don't like to talk about. >.>

As far as books go, I never got into many of them. I did read and enjoy the original Timothy Zahn trilogy, I loved the Dark Empire comics ( I think I have the entire run, still, somewhere in my dad's garage.)

Since Lucas did that horrible thing I don't like to talk about, I've pretty much lost interest in the SW universe, though my nephew, who is seven, loves the Clone Wars TV show, so I've been watching that off and on with him. I have to say, I enjoy that series much more than That Horrible Thing (though not as much as the animated series).  Cad Bane is a BAMF. ;)
