I know, but wondering, since it's just an occupation, how would we implement the marl-y ness of the animals? They're super stealthy, and i'm not sure how to emulate that. :/

Ok, let me explain how this rping will work. I absolutely HATE the servers where your app is like "oh la-dee-da, fill out what you would do if you saw an elf being attacked. Make it six thousand words." I want people to have tons of fun while roleplaying. In-game, they just pick species and occupation, then get cracking! That way we have the maximum amount of fun! :3

Oh, haha, I didn't mean anything that extreme, I don't really like outrageously extensive apps either. I meant something more like, min. paragraph of personality, paragraph of appearance, paragraph or two of history, something like that, just to get a feel for the characters. Even an optional profile or something might be kind of cool, so people can look over what other characters are around, have a reference for appearances in an easy-to-find place, etc. I kind of like the idea of having a record somewhere permanent (like a forum) of different characters, so you can see who's around to RP with, and make sure you don't make a character too similar in concept to someone else's. Just throwing ideas out there. lol

For the ease of roleplay, it might be handy to have a thread just for the Minecraft RP characters. Since we can use /nick to change our names, and people should be able to change species and occupation at will (<<still working on the latter), there's no reason why players can't have multiple characters, and it may be difficult to keep track without a reference.

I would be interested in translating said character thread into a wiki, too, for EASIER reference, though I think the thread is better starting place since not everyone is comfortable editing wikis.

I think we're on the last steps--roleplay will start as soon as we get this stupid occupation thing figured out? Honestly, we could probably start sooner than later, and just get the occupation stuff worked out afterwards (admins can set people's occupation in the meantime).
