Background: A ferret named Ardor is born to his father Krandor during a seige on Salamandastron. Krandor's horde is beaten back and flees to the Land of Ice and Snow, where they originated, leaving the baby Ardor with his sickly nursemaid, a doormouse slave. The nursemaid brings the baby to the mountain and walks right up to a hare of the Long Patrol. At this moment, she collapses and dies of exhaustion at the footpaws of the hare. The hare takes Ardor in as his/her own and trains him to fight until he is around 12 seasons old. He then leaves the mountain to seek adventure, but stumbles upon his father's camp one night on the shores of the northlands. After overhearing talk of a renewed attack on Salamandastron, he decides to repay the hares for their kindness and joins the army as a spy. Neither father nor son know of their relationship between each other, and so the adventure begins...

For your information, a Cheetah is a type of WILDCAT! Not to mention, Brookskimmer a MODERATOR used one! Monkeys are Primates, Cheetahs are cats, cats are in the Redwall series, primates are not... Cheetahs aren't that big either, they are on the smallish side when it comes to wildcats.

Seriously, do you have any idea how big a wildcat is? The wildcats in Redwall are just normal-sized cats that are wild!
