Redd was aware of the commotion. He was shaking fitfully. "I have to get myself together..." He was genuinely afraid of the otter. He exited from his hiding place. "It is nice to see you again...Galedeep.." Said the weasel as strong as his body would allow him at the moment.

Galedeep

Carl smirked the fox's reply and then turned slightly to address the weasel below him. With one eyebrow raised he growled, "Well looky here, if it ain't... sorry, seem to have never gotten you name, seeing as never saw yer scurvy hide before ye slinked out of the shadows"

Caldoro entered and went straight to Taggalott. "what's happening?"
"Redd Mortach as arrived!"

Redwall Musician

"Hello and all that, my fellow wall-watchers," said Diamond, climbing the steps up the wall. "Mother Abbess forced me to come up here and stand guard, when she knows I need a jolly old nap, wot!" She leaned against the battlements and winked at the Skipper. "Heard some sort of vermin are to be approaching. And my brilliant mind was needed to defend the abbey, once again."

She stared over the battlements and caught sight of the vermin. Diamond gasped and ducked underneath the battlement. "There really is vermin here." Suddenly her care-free attitude was replaced with a true fear. She masked the shaking in her hands and tried to remain cool. She did not like vermin.

Redd had managed to catch a glance of the Hare. "Well now, if it aint the hare that barely escaped my sword last time. It was to bad another beast had to befall the full blow of its might." Redd Mortach and finally regained all of his courage. He then called up to Captain Carl Galedeep. "The names...Redd Mortach. Owner of all and terror of the land! Bow before me dog! Or I shall surely smite you!"

Caldoro climbed up the battlements and saw Redd and his horde.

Galedeep

"Oh aye?" Galedeep grinned, "'fraid you'll be having a bit of trouble smitting this place weasel"

On que, mixed bunch of Skipper and Carl's crew popped up from behind the battlements and fired a volley of slingstones, arrows, and spears. A score of the vermin were quickly felled in the first volley, and the rest scrambled for cover in the subsequent volleys.

The Captain's grin grew yet wider, "Let's see who smites who vermin."

Skipper

Darkfang stood still and grinned when the last of the stones were thrown he called out sharply 'Launch!' a scorce of vermin carrying spears, javelins and bows stood up from their position in the trees and fired the weapons killing some of the otters and otherbeasts, Darkfang sneered and watched as the rest hastily ducked behind the ramparts.

Redwaller

"Duck!" Yelled Caldoro, everybeast ducked, but some weren't fast enough, falling down the battlements impaled.

Redd quickly regained from his shock. "Darkfang! I am leaving a third of our numbers with you to keep them occupied here. Keep firing! I will take the other two thirds and press them down from the west side in the ditch!" Redd was starting to get in his moment. It was only a matter of time...

Redd Mortach swiftly lead his portion of the army to the ditches. His memory was vivid with the previous war. "They will not destroy us like they did last time! This time, WE will break in!" Redd quickly got his troops stationed along the ditch. He then gave them orders. "Once you see any heads pop over that wall, we will begin our suppressive fire!"
