The Long Patrol Commander sees the rabble coming in big, green vessels and says, "Get ready. I want everyone who can fight in the mess hall, we must prepare."

One of the scouts ran into the Mess Hall. He stopped breathless, then told breezebuck,"Sah, vermin have landed on the shore. They are attacking a small group of woodlanders, sah." Breezebuck called a haremaid called Hawklirk to his side and said," Take a regiment of Long Patrol hares and get those beasts in here, Now."
