and yeah, what Ashleg said, I didn't think a hole for his tail in his tunic would be very comfortable for him.

Not to mention how creepy that would be.

I've actually thought about how it might work for the tail to fit through the clothing, and I think it would either go under the garment, like a tunic/kilt or skirt/dress, or, in the case of pants or pantaloons, there would be a slit in the back with the seam ending right under the tail, and then it would be buttoned up above the tail.

Same, shirts go over the tail whereas pants (if the character was wearin pants...a lot don't) would have a hole for it.
And I think dresses and skirts would be the same as shirts.
