I have a new favourite villain. . .Vilu Daskar! He is so smart, but so evil. :-\ :D

Ferango the assasin is really cool

Skalrag of Marshank

I also really liked Slagar.

Reason #1: Because he's a foxie. ;D
Reason #2: He's really smart.
Reason #3: He gets you feeling sorry for him. At first, he starts out as this heartless villain who gets his pleasure out of kidnapping dibbuns and selling them into slavery. After a while though, MATTIMEO SPOILER that he's really Chickenhound, and see how badly disfigured he is (in the show, anyway) you start to feel sorry for him, even though his "revenge" on Matthias is a bit extreme (I spent ten minutes explaining it to my dad while watching Mattimeo). It's the Darth Vader approach all over again. ;D

Honestly, I can't pick just one.

1.) Badrang
2.) Cluny
3.) Sawney Rath
4.) Raga Bol
5.) Vilu Daskar
6.) Zwilt the Shade
7.) Ferahgo

Gabool.  His insanity was interesting, and sometimes I had to laugh.  Like that time when he hears the bell and has a fit, but it's actually searats throwing apple cores at the bell.

Something Horrifying

So last night I started re-reading Long Patrol...and finished it! Kind of. Have to admit...I got really impatient and decided to just skip to the parts about the villains, and just skimmed through everything else.  ;) (Don't worry, I'll go back and re-read the whole thing later.) XD

But I have to say, I found myself VERY pleasantly surprised! I remembered Damug Warfang as a pretty mediocre, kind of uninteresting villain...I honestly kind of forgot about him. Coming back to it, though...of the books I've re-read so far, I think he's one of my very favorite characters! Definitely not very competent at all, but I think that's why he was so interesting to me? I got the impression this time that he was younger than I remembered, and I found him amusingly immature and almost naive. He never really accomplished anything, didn't seem to know what he was doing, and I swear actually threw tantrums. From the beginning when he cheated in order to seize power, up to the end when he just suddenly stopped the battle he was about to win, he basically behaved like a petulant, over-confident child, and it was pretty much completely amazing. How does he not get more attention from fans? XD

Huh, I never noticed that before. Damug really didn't interest me the first time around, but maybe I should re-read The Long Patrol and give him a second chance. You make him sound so funny and lovable!

Hmm...  I don't think I can say who my favorite is, seeing as I don't remember half of them!  Um, probably Ungatt Trunn, just because he's a wildcat.  I didn't like him very much, but I like him more than Tsarmina.
