I think it's a good idea. however, you can't just have live characters without a little CGI. This is because the idea of people in simple costumes would fail to capture the realism and imaginative atmosphere of the book for the audience. While the costumes and sets do create a good representation of Redwall, it wouldn't have the cgi effects that would give the audience a better picture of what redwall is really like.
just wait until I make my daring escape!

I agree with you. CGI would definitely be nessecary to spice up the movie a bit.
I wish I was as wise as a Redwall Abbot

Can someone tell me what CGI is?

I believe it's a way of making things look more real in movies.

I know! The Jim Henson company could do it! I've seen how they do their animal characters. It could easily fit.

Having the animals be like the ones in Narnia, that would be cool. Narnia does a great job with it's animals, Reepicheep could almost be Matthias!

That's Reepicheep!
Abbotsrboss I actually came up with an idea quite like quite recently :D
I loved the reality/animae of the Narnia movies that have been coming out......
ESPECIALLY REEPICHEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that they coiuld come up with a Redwall movie sortof in the bounds of those movies ;D and I agree with WONWILL.
Sherlock
Doctor Who
Beyond the Western Deep
Mouseguard
Ranger's Apprentice
Lord of the Rings
The Chronicles of Narnia
The Book Thief
Harry Potter
Percy Jackson
:D
And many many more...

I know that all of us on here love the Redwall series, and would like to see a movie made out of one of the books. Sadly, I don't think today's audience or box office would give it as much credit as such tween sellers like the Twilight Saga or The Hunger Games. Oh well  :-\. Maybe they would though, I don't know.

I think so too, unfortunately, but I think if we bring in popular producers/actors/director then possibly that would be a reason for people to go to the movie? I think a movie would really help inspire a new generation to the Redwall series. :D

Peter Jackson would be great for it!

Didn't he direct LOTR? Excuse my ignorance.

A Redwall movie would be hugely popular among us, but we aren't but a fraction of the world's population that goes to movies. They might not get enough money to be happy. There's the costs of sets, or the cost to animate, and only us to watch it. I think that a Redwall movie will only exist in our imaginations. Besides, Brian wrote so much detail, I almost had me own movie.

Oh dear, the MEAP has me writing almost everything like an essay.
