  Talon woke up to find his parents were gone.  He walked downstairs and nearly ran into a wildcat.  Nearby he heard someone.  His mother!  She was saying something about killing someone.  Talon looked back at the wildcat.  It had a dagger.  He managed to snatch it without the cat noticing, and then he ran to the group.  "I'm 'ere ta 'elp!"

  "Wot?!"  Talon quickly got free of Leeft.  "I wanna 'elp!"  He looked at Davi.  "Tankee, Uncle Davi!"

  "Yay!"  Talon started jumping up and down, then stopped when his mother glared at him and shook her head.  Talon hung his head down and his tail drooped, but he was still happy.

  Shadow glared at Davi.  "I was quieting him.  I didn't say that he couldn't come."
