There was a shooting at the primere of The Dark Night Rises over in Colorado, where I live. A lot of people were wounded, and a few kids and a baby were killed :( Could you please pray for the families, or if you aren't christian, could you keep this in your thoughts? thanks. I wasn't there, thankfully, but I heard it on the news.

It is indeed a horrific tragedy.  I've been reading the news about it all day.  My heart goes out to all the victim's families.  I hope they manage to dismantle the trip wires and explosives in the shooter's home without any trouble.

I just found out today! WHY do people have to do awful things like that? WHY can't they think first, or act rationally? My heart and prayers go out to those people.
I am so unbelievably busy at the moment, (BECAUSE I'M MOVING!!!) if you need me, which you most likely won't, PM me!

I know. They said the shooter was laughing, and he's an idiot.

I don't know that idiot is the right word.  Mentally disturbed, violent, evil, those might be more appropriate.

He must have no heart. I'm thinking about this and mentally sympathizing with their families. He's inhumane!

It really is a horrible tragedy. It's all over the news here as well. Has there been any news over the gunman's motive? This event will be in my prayers.
Received mostly negative reviews.

This is a true tragedy.

A couple of points:

1.) Yeah I heard about the baby that was injured....but been released from the hospital, so it didn't die.  But honestly, who takes their month old baby to a midnight showing?  ::)

2.) The shooter isn't your typical troubled kid from youth, bullied, or anything like that.  He's was in a Phd program and is pretty darn smart from the reports.  Residents in the apartment complex didn't see him as someone who would do this.  The fact we now hear that the apartment is totally rigged to blow the place to pieces is scarier....how do we help people like this who show absolutely no signs of trouble, need, or psychotic behavior?  The 24 hours news media is making this a bigger story than it is.  They have the right to ask that question, but the answer is simple: "You don't know, and all you can do is to be aware of your surroundings and not take things (especially safety) for granted." ;)
