While I do miss scrawny little Hiccup and his young buddies, I gotta admit, man, they made him look quite a handsome twenty year old man!  :o

@Tam:  Why do you think that?

Okay, I need to see if they have this movie on Netflix! You guys are making me want to see it! Has anyone else seen Eragon? Another good dragon movie.

We have Eragon, and it's good! They seriously need to make a second one, though. It was a sucky ending.

Hey, there's a second one coming out? COOL!?!?!?!?!
So, there's books?

Rusvul

Hiccup not look wimp. Hiccup impostor. Hiccup look like not wimp Hiccup. WHAT SORCERY IS THIS!?!

WHAT?????????

YOU SAY THE MOVIE ERAGON IS GOOD????????

IT'S TERRIBLE!!!!!!

They completely destroyed the entire storyline from the series.

If you have not read the series, read it once. You will enjoy it. But, I will warn you, the more times you read it, the worse it gets until it becomes unbearably bad. You begin to realize just how bad of a writer Christopher Paolini actually is.

The thing is, everything is a plot device, and everything that has a mysterious explanation is either left unexplained, or explained dues ex machina (Using an outside force to explain/make all end well). Plus, the final book is very anti-climactic.

And, his research is terrible...

Courage: Not only the willingness to die manfully, but also the determination to live decently.

Hey, hey, hey! Eragon's one of my favourite series! Chistopher's not a bad writer, and while he might not be the best, he's still a pretty good one! Honestly, Wylder! And, FYI, NONE OF THE MOVIES BASED ON BOOKS ACTUALLY STICK TO THE STORYLINE!! Even they Redwall TV show didn't!
And while his research is "Terrible" you have to remember he started writing the series for his senior project! And, he was homeschooled! Wylder, I'm really disappointed.

Rusvul

...He also wrote much of the second book, I think, with a quill pen on parchment-like... stuff.. in tiny writing. Even if his research was bad, you gotta give him credit for being in character. And creating an entire language.

Rusvul

I believe it's possible to be fluent in... Whatever the heck that language was. Look, it's been... like, five years since I read those books, or something like that.

The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Redwall TV show, Eragon, every movie ever adapted from a book, video game, or another movie... Notice a pattern here? No movie ever sticks to the plot of the original, that's just how things go, and it's not necessarily a bad thing either! While I didn't think Eragon was all that great, I still enjoyed it because it still contained merit. (With what little I've seen of the Redwall tv series, they completely messed up the plot, but it wasn't made bad because of that [what ruined it for me was the cheesiness they put in it])
