The Grey Coincidence

I read them all before watching any movies (minus the last three-four books). Very different from Redwall but always highly entertaining!
I was a bit miffed by the Fishlegs-is-Alvin's son thing though... Like... Really?

Yeah, that part was rather interesting... Have you seen HTTYD: The Hidden World?

*Is very lost in this conversation*
Have You ever read or seen the HTTYD series?
No.
Oh. That is a problem. Hmm... You should try watching the movies. The second one or third one was probably the best in my opinion. *Shrugs*

I don't know, I liked it. Though, you've gotta point there about the foreshadowing...

The Grey Coincidence

My favourite was the first movie.

Books is hard. I liked the second one a *lot* because Alvin the Treacherous. But Kamikaze only got introduced in number three and she was probs the best character period?

Yeah, I can't really remember which book I liked the most... I remember the last ones were pretty good. (In my opinion at least)

The Grey Coincidence

My feelings in regards to the movies have always been mixed. Let's just say I liked some stuff *a lot* and er- didn't like others as much...

I liked the first movie a lot, and I enjoy the books too.  The second one was terrible imo, and I haven't seen the third one, but I'm not really inclined to see it anyway.

Someone I know hates the movies because they're so inaccurate to the books, but the first movie is great as a standalone work of cinema.  Otherwise the books holistically are probably better, since the story is planned out so much better wrt the kings items and stuff.

The Grey Coincidence

Fun fact, I'll try and find some article to prove this, but I heard Cressida Cowell was kind of making it all up as she went along- conveniently the king items all happened to be present ;)

I would be amazed if that's the case
But it would also be hilarious to imagine that toothless was just a low tier dragon from the start

I'm not all that jolly surprised. That's how I write most o' my flippin' stories, wot wot.

I had to move everything off the list but the bare essentials to make way for this:
