Swartt Sixclaw is consistently underrated, both by his enemies and by readers.

I read Watership Down, though it was quite some time ago, and also a companion novel of Watership Down mythology -- which is, "Tales from Watership Down".

Both are enjoyable reads, but in spite of featuring animals, they're hardly anything like Redwall. ;)

In a way, I would say that Watership Down might be a greater literary work, on some abstract level, but it isn't nearly as easy to get into -- and maybe not quite as ultimately uplifting, though I guess only time will tell on that point.
