It does seem contradictory but I would suspect its a character who does both good and evil things- maybe having episodes of one or the other. Although I think a term like gray character would be a better fit...

There's something for that already.

It's called Neutral.
The fastest way to a man's heart- Or anyone's, in fact- Is to tear a hole through their chest.

Indeed. You are as ancient as the soot that choked Pompeii into oblivion, though not quite as uncaring. - Rusvul

Just a butterfly struggling through my chrysalis.

James, there is no such thing as Texas time. It's called Central, dear, and I'm not entirely sure all of Texas fits in it. (Don't quote me on that) AND it's only one hour behind EST. Which I much prefer.

EDIT: It's 10:30 for me and you haven't been on the forum since you left. See what I mean?

Søren

I'm in Tennessee and I'm in Texas time. :P

CENTRAL. NOT TEXAS. And yes, I know that, Sor. :P I meant the other side of Texas.

Søren

Well, the tini tiny tip of Texas where El Paso is changes to West Texas time. (Also known as Mountain ;D )

. . . . . I'm beginning to think your sojourn in Texas has fried your brain. o.O

(Kidding, kidding)

Speaking of Texas and being tired, my dad and two younger siblings flew to Houston yesterday as the first leg of their journey to New Zealand.  They just landed in NZ maybe half an hour ago.

And I'm tired 'cause we spent the whole day away.  It only took a few hours to drive to the first airport, but then we hung out there with them maybe a couple hours before they went through security.  (I love airports so much.  They feel so exciting, like you can fly anywhere and do anything, and I love seeing the diversity of the different people walking by.)  During that time, a nice German lady from Lufthansa happened to walk by and cooed over the two-year-old, mentioning that she had waited so long for grandkids.  She wished us a merry Christmas and said "God bless!"  I was happy that Ben actually smiled at her and waved goodbye, because a lot of the time he gets all shy.

Anyway, when we finally got back home, we stayed up until midnight watching Sense and Sensibility.

This has been Things You Never Really Cared About But You'll Hear About Them Anyway with Jukka the Sling.

Hey, I think that's really cool, Jukk! What a nice lady. :)

No, not necessarily. A neutral character is one who isn't a member of any of the major factions in the piece. They might have an own individual goal or interest they seek to accomplish and aren't interested in the bigger picture/struggle. It doesn't really speak about their "morality" either. Now if there are only two factions-a good and evil one and all of the members of each faction are intrinsically good or evil then the characters who aren't members of either faction could be termed neutral. But I wouldn't say that the two terms are inter-challengeable in most cases.
