Well yes but those internment camps were only part of a broader belief that the Japanese were sub-human or inferior to whites. One of the more interesting ways this manifested itself was, the not so rare, "trophy hunting" of the body parts of Japanese soldiers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_mutilation_of_Japanese_war_dead
Now unlike the internment camps this practice was never sanctioned by the US government and even condemned but none the less it continued throughout the war. It was part of the dehumanization of the Japanese and this did not happen, at least to a significant degree, in the European theatre of war with US troops.

However with all that being said the abuses or atrocities committed by the US in WWII pale in comparison to those done by the other belligerents, i.e. the Japanese.
