It's the tenth book in the Skulduggery Pleasant book series/first book in the second series from best-selling Irish author Derek Landy.

Skulduggery Pleasant is about a twelve year-old girl called Stephanie Edgely and the day her uncle Gordon died, leaving his estate and the vast fortune he had amassed from his career as a horror writer, somewhat perplexingly, to her. Circumstances conspire so that she is left alone in Gordon's (now her) house with no access for her parents. Then a man breaks in and attacks her, searching for a "key" for his master. Then the door gets broken down and she is rescued by Skulduggery Pleasant, a magical detective... who just so happens to be a reanimated skeleton.

I'm personally just waiting for the conclusion of the Lynx video and then I plan on catching up with the rest of his recent uploads (wish he did more food stuff too. That would really help with the waiting, but I digress).
