The branched Herondale family not having marks raises an interesting question. We know that unmarked Shadowhunters can reproduce with demons - is it possible that at some point in this Herondale line, they had a Shadowhunter-warlock child and that's what Johnny Rook was? Does that then mean that Kit, much like James Herondale, would have some special demon powers? I didn't think so until I remembered that Kit is considered to be dangerous, and I doubt that relates to the Catarina thing. (Sidenote: How come Emma had a prophetic dream in which the spirits of her parents talked to her? Did an angel send it? Why? Is Emma special in some way? Or is it just because of her role in the events? Can angels see the future?)

Is it possible that Kit being the offspring of a demon or half-demon plays into Lord of Shadows and the rest of TDA, because of the whole Cohort storyline about the crusade against Downworlder rights? Maybe the idea of having another Tessa scares the Clave into making some anti-Downworlder laws? Could that then play into The Wicked Powers like how the decisions from CoHF are the cause of TDA, because it's likely that Kit and Ty will be the main characters of that series?

Also the vampire Anselm Nightshade (you know, the guy Julian made take the fall for everything? (Julian scares me)) shares Clary's grandmother's maiden name. Thoughts?

Thoughts on Cortana being able to sever the Parabatai bond? ("A sword made by Wayland the Smith can cut through anything.")
