I gave up on the series two-thirds of the way through Brisinger due to boredom more than anything else It seemed like Paolini was so interested in exploring his world that the pace suffered, and it ended up being more than my attention span could tolerate.

Yeah.  I had read reviews and already knew she became pregnant, but then I read a review of Eldest that suggested it was a little more explicit than just a matter of "Oh, look, she became pregnant without warning" (among other things), and my mom was disappointed when she read the review and said to give it up.   Though I was kind of bummed, at least my mom's looking out for me and my sisters (Amber was reading it too).

Well, I read the Wiki summary afterwards to see what happens so I know what you're talking about

@Jukka: I can see that. It's more implied than explicit (I actually didn't realize that anything had happened until after I'd finished the book and was flipping through it again ), but yeah. Also, after I read the first two books, my mom took a look at a review of describing the violence in Brisinger and told me that it'd be a few years before I could read it. While it's not that bad, it would have been a bit of shock to my system at the time, so I do appreciate her restrictions.

@Jet:  It was just the "sexual content" section that we read.  -_-  I failed to mention that.  Whatever.  My mom is very picky about the stuff we read.  I'm very picky about the stuff I read.  So yeah.  We have different standards.

Random fact:  I went to a birthday party yesterday.
