I had a girl ask me to prom today. I don't think she knows I'm homeschooled

I really have no idea what prom is besides dancing  She asked if I wanted to go as friends. Anyway, I work every most Friday nights, and even if I was able to, there are alot better things I can be doing, and my parents really don't want me giving her the idea that I like her because she has had like 6 x-boyfriends and I don't believe in dating until you are able to actually get married. So, no prom for sure. What is sweethearts BTW?

She asked me over text and I responded that I normally work Friday's but I will see.

I think that she is thinking of it more as an opportunity to flirt and show she likes me so that way I would end up as her boyfriend kind of thing. I don't even want to go there. I teach her every Monday evening violin lessons,  and that is all I want to do.
