Firstly: It isn't a series.

Secondly: What's the conflict about?

One of my friends read it - she didn't really care for it, so I was like, "Meh, I might read it eventually."

I'm worried that she's right. She said that my current reading choices didn't really match up to Homestuck, but I've read a lot since then, so I'm not sure.

Tell me about it. (No spoiler, and no fangirling. )

Homestuck is about four kids, John Egbert and his three friends (who's names I won't tell you, because that's a fun thing to guess) who are waiting to play a video game called Sburb. Unbenknownst to them, Sburb is an immersive simulation game which allows you to alter reality itself. The game also summons meteors to decimate the Earth, and the kids must escape into the world of the game to survive.

Ha I wasn't allowed to watch it when I was little. I saw the whole thing for the first time last year. It was really good!
(I think the kid's attitude to his mother was the reason behind why I wasn't allowed to see it)
