Groddil

Why's it so quiet today? Nobody's posted for hours, and it's normally the busiest time of day.

* Groddil is so bored.

BlueRose

Poor bab.

I just haven't been posting much today because I've been sewing my nephew's Halloween costume. (I'm running out of time....)
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Bitterly jittery, and not very glittery.

* Groddil shake head sadly.

If he doesn't share some of the confectionery he steals off of the poor people who actually paid for it as payment for making his costume, your nephew is an evil person.

BlueRose

He's three. I'm making him a costume because I'm competing for the title of "Best Aunt Ever™".

AGE IS NO EXCUSE! IF HE DOESN'T SHARE HIS STOLEN CONFECTIONERY, HE'S EVIL!

I'm not really one to steal candy from a baby, even if the baby absconded with it on the first place.

Yeah, I'm just being snarky. :p I'm in that group of people who don't like having to fork over candy they bought to trick-or-treaters.

Oh man, I totally agree. Although, the only trick-or-treaters in the area are my three cousins. So.

Lady Ashenwyte

Is it socially appropriate to slam your door in the face of trick or treaters?

Yes. Alternatively, just give them some sort of gag treat, like actual pumpkin (what? It's halloween), chocolate with hot sauce poured on it, or chocolate wrappers that are actually empty.

Oh, and if kids try to egg your house, either egg them back, or keep a bag of flour and a bucket of water handy. ;)

Lady Ashenwyte

Or see who egged the house and call the police.
