Yes. Alternatively, just give them some sort of gag treat, like actual pumpkin (what? It's halloween), chocolate with hot sauce poured on it, or chocolate wrappers that are actually empty.

Oh, and if kids try to egg your house, either egg them back, or keep a bag of flour and a bucket of water handy.
