When is the Valentine event due for?

Previous years' Valentines will start breeding one week before Valentine's Day, after TJ announces it.  There's always a new Valentine release, which lasts only for Valentine's Day itself.  Last year was the first time they did an extra event on Valentine's Day; you could send valentines to other users (specific friends, or a random user) and it lasted from Valentine's Day to February 21st (one week afterward).

 Um, how did I get this from a Water dragon and a Skywing dragon?

Like Redwaller said, Blunas are a hybrid breed (and actually a bit more uncommon).  There are four hybrid breeds:
Two-Finned Bluna (Skywing x Water, Skywing x Deepsea)
Geode (Stone x Stone, Green x Green, or Stone x Green)
Shallow Water (Water x Magi)
Ultraviolet (Spitfire x Purple)

I was just wondering, is my adult dragon a Christmas dragon? Because there's a bit at the end of her description that talks about Christmas dragons. This is her:

Yeah, I looked it up on the wiki, and that kind of dragon is a Christmas dragon, and apparently kind of rare. *does a happy dance*

Yep!  That's one of the previous Christmas ones (2010, I think?).   That particular breed is usually called "Snow Angel" by everyone.

 So, how rare are they?

All the hybrid breeds are considered "uncommon".  They're not rare, but you don't see them every day.
