  What I found that worked if you want her to go both ways is move your eyes in one direction, spinning your vision in circles.  The lady moves the way your eyes want her to move.  At least, that's how it works for me.

Wait! I get it! It doesn't have to do with your eyes at all! It is your PERCEPTION of it. Just WHERE you decide she is moving. Is she moving forwards or backwards is the question, not whether she is going right or left.
