There were so many valient sacrifices, in the end none of them are really more epic then the next. They all pay the ultimate pirce.

"The way is dangerous, take this." " A gift? Will it protect me?" No, a sword is never a gift. It only brings death. It is a curse and gives you the duty to defend those who cannot defend themselves. I hope one day you will forgive me."

BRAGOON! AND! SARO! it doesnt get much more heroic than that. killing an entire at least hundred vermin as you go? wiping out the entire abyss kingdom? WOW!

SpiderMonkey

Ranguvar Foeseeker, and Luke.  Although all mentioned here are very heroic, these stand out to me the most.

I say Ranguvar, Luke, Bragoon, and Saro.

Tam and Martin

Butty Whopscutt, Russa Nodrey, Felldoh, Urthstripe, Luke the Warrior, Romsca, Shogg :( , Rockjaw Grange, Lord Stonepaw, Bragoon and Saro (loved them!), Brigadier Crumshaw, and Rose, although it wasn't really heroic, just sad like some others have said.

although i wished he died in battle, it would have been fitting, who knows maybe jaques was saving it for a last novel?

Veil, without a doubt. That was one of the most tragic deaths I've ever read about. Also, Romsca, Russa, Log-a-Log from Mattimeo, and Askor, who refused help even after having a tree fall on him.

Has anyone ever considered Cluny's death as heroic? Well, maybe not heroic, but still honorable. He held his word in the final battle, releasing the Friar in an agreement that Matthias would come down and face him. But then Matthias slashed the bellropes, and the bell killed Cluny - who had obvoiusly kept his promise.

Actually, good point! Cluny's death was kind of heroic (for vermin :P)...

Veil, Skarlath, and Bragoon and Saro all had heroic deaths too...

Jacques would've never of stopped writing as long as he was alive, I think. And Martin is pretty mysterious, he wouldn't be in Jacques told us how he died. That's for us readers to figure.

I'm pretty sure I already wrote this, but Bragoon and Saro, The Mask, Butty, Crumshaw...I could go on.

Clunys' death was not the least of Heroic, he died the coward he was... Imagine being killed by a bell (mixed with stupidity). That is NOT heroic. The only Heroic thing about his death was that he was killed.

Gonff the Mousethief

Luke, Rose, The really tall hare from the long patrol. Also stonepaw.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

The Skarzs

Cave of Skarzs

Cave potato.

Gonff the Mousethief

Rockjaw Grang, that is it!
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.
