The Chase

"He was the founder and champion of Redwall. He was a fighting mouse, and fought to free Mossflower from the grip of a tyrant wildcat. He was wounded in the fight, the other beasts of Redwall took him in and tended to his hurts. When he woke up, he was changed, he swore never to fight and hung up his sword, upon doing so, he founded our order. In a nutshell. That's it there, above the tapestry." Marvin pointed his beak at the sword.

[Rainshadow]

  "Whoa."  Ray looked up to see the beautiful sword.
  Amanda cleared her throat.  "Well, perhaps we should go and eat."  She walked into Cavern Hole, once again followed by Ray.

[W0NWILL]

"What're you going to do with me?" Aticaus asked.

[Rainshadow]

  The Mask laughed an evil laugh.  "Well, if you cooperate, I might just let you go free.  If not, well, there's a kite I know that just loves hare meat.  Your choice."  With that, the Mask walked away.  He had already decided they were going to stay put for a few days before going to Redwall.  He wanted to wait until he got a report from Kyte.

Aticaus snarled, "Typical coward."

Kyte fluttered to the ground outside the abbey and used her hooked beak to tear a gash in her wing. Ignoring the pain, she whiped her beak on some moss nearby. She then screeched, trying to get some attention.

OOC: If anyone could hear Kyte, that would be fine and dandy.

[Rainshadow]

  A mouse by the name of Coda was walking on the battlements when he heard a squawk.  He looked to the ground and saw an injured kite.  "Hey!  You alright down there?"
  He rushed to the gate to let in the injured bird.

"Kyte hit with stone from vermin. Kyte walkfly here, have healer?"

[Rainshadow]

  Coda tried to help the bird up.  "Yes, we have a healer here.  Are you hungry?  We can get you food while you're getting fixed up."

[W0NWILL]

"Food good. You have food for Kyte? Fish?"

[Rainshadow]

  "Uh, yes, we have fish here."  Coda started walking back inside, hoping that the poor kite would follow him.  "So," he began, "you're name is Kyte?"

[W0NWILL]

"Yes. This bird called Kyte."
