I mean, after the "End of the World" that will take a few years. The survivors, which will all have chosen God, will live after that a happy life, and all their descendants for a thousand years. Of course, the survivors will die normally like we do.

i dont belevie in the end of the world or the bibles prediction.

Good, finally someone who sorta agrees with me!

I just remembered that the Andromeda Galaxy is going to crash into ours, the Milky Way in about 5 trillion years. Either earth is going to become part of a supermasive black hole, or we're going to be flung into space. But don't worry, the society will be run by chimps by then. ;) Yes, I have recently watched Planet of the Apes.

I can't, it's raining, but if it wasn't I'd be out there laughing. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Paradox

At least tomorrow isn't a work day for me if we all die :P

The Mayans were the first people to create a calendar in Ancient times, but they found that once they got to a certain point in their calculations, their calendar repeated itself and went back to the start. So they figured THAT couldn't happen so they predicted the end of the world would happen then - the 21st or 22nd of December 2012. But I reckon life will keep on rolling after tonight :)

Yes, but what everybody needs to understand, is that I am talking of the Bible prediction! The mayan calendar is just a calendar that is ending!  :D

Something Horrifying

Has anyone else read the book "Good Omens"? XD

(Totally relevant to the thread, don't worry. ;))

I'm slightly offended, but you simply cannot site the bible to prove the bible. As for the asteroid, it doesn't have to be that large, because it would break up in the atmosphere and on impact and rain fire on us. And when we did see it, who says we can stop it?
Ok, sorry for the bible citing. But i'm not proving the bible, just citing something from what is true. What i'm saying is, if an asteroid were to get even CLOSE to us,  we'd tell, and we'd know for a while. :P I didn't say we can stop it, just saying that it doesn't exist, unless it's piloted by someone who can work wormholes the way they're supposed to.  ;D I'll still be running my server after the 21st. ;) I respect your beliefs, and i'm just giving reasons for my points. Absolutely no malice or offense intended. :)

None taken, but are you suggesting that because I'm an atheist, that I believe in the 21? Not a chance. Any atheist will tell you that there is next to no chance of the world ending today. There simply isn't enough energy in the sun to send a killer fireball 93 million miles to earth. When the sun dies, it will swell, burn earth and any remaining life to a crisp, but that won't happen for about 5 billion years. And we do know about an asteroid close to us. That doesn't mean we can stop it from hitting the earth.

The Bible says those who know Christ will live for eternity, that's awesome.
