I had to laugh at this Skyrim guard dialogue line I just heard for the first time in the game: "Dragons breathing fire in the sky. Vampires brazenly attacking people on the street. It's the end of the world I tell you."
Lol! That's hilarious!

Anywho, since there's new members, I thought I,d bring up this topic, hoping that they will stay civil.

I believe in the end of the world.  I however, don't believe in predictions about its end or believe we can foretell it, such as say Nostradamus or the whole Mayan calendar thing (obviously :))

Though I do believe it can certainly happen either by plague, war, or climate problems.

As a Catholic, I don't believe in a literal sense of the Rapture as many Christians may.  But I see most of Revelations as symbolic of Mass.  Dr. Scott Hahn's "The Lamb's Supper" is a good reflection on that Catholic belief.

Then has to been an end to the world, the sun is burning up, the sea is eating away at the land. What are we gonna do, bast off into space, and try to find a new planet eath??
They told me I was gullible. I believed them.

It is well known that 47% of statistics are made up on the spot.

I used to leave out half my sentances, but now I

I believe in the end of the earth but only when Yahushua comes to defeat Satin

Maudie

I believe in the End of the World as we know it, but not that the World is going to explode or anything.

^ I think something like that. I think eventually things will come to an end for this particular world, but not for a long while yet. The mind boggles trying to comprehend such things!

Ummm.... In forty billion years the Earth will crash into the sun. Unless we humans do something stupid, the world will not end before then. Also: I don't believe humans will ever have the power to wipe out all life on Earth. Life will just keep adapting and evolving until it all ends and we crash into the sun.

Man may end well before the Earth does.  :)

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

That is not true, because the closer you get to the sun,the hotter it is, and right now the Earth is at the exact right place, so we would die long before we touched the sun.

I believe that the Earth will end when Christ returns.
Martin the Warrior is way more epic than Mickey Mouse. Anyone who says otherwise is insane, or just wrong.

Yahushua is God, and Satin was meant to be Satan.

My point was that life will just keep evolving and adapting until it is completely impossible for life to exist. And as I said before, likely the only cause of the world ending is drawing too close to the sun. However, since it will take so long to actually crash into the sun, life will most likely slowly adapt to live far, far, longer than any current life could.
