 My otter movie idea

Okay, so I mentioned the idea of an otter movie idea somewhere in one of the otter topics on this site, but I wanted to go into more detail about it! I would prefer for it to be either 2D animated or in the same way that Narnia did their animals.  I think some of our otter fans on here (like me) may like this idea. I think if we can get movies about mammoths (ice age), Jedis (Star Wars), and ogres (the Shrek series), then why not otters? The plot, to me, would have to hold a good family message while still having humor, that isn't overly corny. Likewise, any lessons that are made in the film shouldn't get too preachy.

Having an otter movie could be a great way to introduce new people to otters. I know there have been other otters in the media in the past, but I think this movie idea would be great :)

I have actually visualized this in my head!  I would so go see it ;D Also, having all of the feelings: drama, humor, romance, suspense, etc, would be a must. River otters would be my main choice of  species for the movie.

So, my fellow otter lover friends: Do you agree? Disagree? What are some of your ideas for a studio, cast, or a plot? Any friendly debating and criticism on my idea is welcome. I'm not promising that there will be one soon but to be honest I'm hoping that there will be.

May the otter power be in the movies someday,

I know this isn't quite what you want or mean, but someone's trying using an otter, named Ollie nonetheless. :P (shoutout to the Ranger Rick fans maybe?)

A full length movie....I think a studio to fork over big bucks would have to see something with an established storyline and animals like Redwall, or even the Mistmantle Chronicles, or Welkin Weasels make the story of animals work.  Lots of talking animal shows have not worked out well.  That's when you get shows like Open Season....

Open season was pretty bad
Agreed! I love animal films but that and Dr. dolittle with Eddie Murphy were bad. And Ollie from Ranger Rick is so cool! He's really quite crafty and cute at the same time

I agree all to the seasons! I saw only like five minutes of Dr. Doolittle and it was too wishy-washy. I love otters. (So cute, those little things.) An otter movie sounds great! I can already write the storys plot shaping in my head. . . If you want Redwallfan7, I have an idea.
