I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

My favorite author would probably be C.S. Lewis, Charles Dickens, or Robert Louis Stevenson

Jetthebinturong

In descending order:

James A. Owen: Author of The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica
Michael Scott: Author of The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel (tied with Owen, if he hadn't come to my school I would never have known about him)
John Ronald Ruel Tolkien (Yes that is his actual full name)
Jonathan Stroud: Author of The Bartimaeus Trilogy and its prequel, The Ring of Solomon
Angie Sage: Author of the Septimus Heap book
Joseph Delaney: Author of The Wardstone Chronicles
Derek Landy: Author of the Skulduggery Pleasant series
Rick Riordan: Author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series + others
John Stephens: Author of The Books of Beginning
M. G. Harris: Author of the series that begins with Invisible City and ends with Apocalypse Moon
Naomi Novik: Author of the Temeraire series

Eoin Colfer's on that list somewhere too but I haven't read the Artemis Fowl books in a while so I can't say exactly where

I also have to mention Andrew Hussie who, whilst not a published author and has written no books, has written two AWESOME webcomics called Problem Sleuth and Homestuck, the second of which is not even finished yet, is already over 6000 pages long, is filled with many videos and walk-around games and is currently undergoing THE ALMIGHTY GIGAPAUSE

You can win by losing. Jesus did.

Why are you looking
So intently at the beans
While they are sleeping?

Michael Scott is a great author. Have you read the entire series? The end is... Umm... Surprising.

Jetthebinturong

I have indeed. I guessed who Marethyu was as soon as you are introduced to him, it just seems obvious to me

Hmm. I'm usually not the one who guesses the plot twist before it happens.

Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Eoin Colfer, Rick Riordan, Cornelia Funke, Kathy Tyers, that one dude who wrote Hero: Second Class (fantastic book, by the way), the guy who wrote the Tom Swift Jr. books (his name is funny....), J. K. Rowling, Yu Wo, the lady who wrote Howl's Moving Castle (why the heck are none of these names coming to my head?) and the list goes on and on and on....

Oh, and since Jet has written out Tolkien's full name, I shall do the same for Lewis. Clive Staples Lewis. (Anyone else read The Screwtape Letters ?)
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Bitterly jittery, and not very glittery.

The Skarzs

Wanted to, never have.
Anyone heard of Gabrielle Lord? (I think that's their name. . .)
Cave of Skarzs

Cave potato.
