Do you think she liked Barranca?

Yes
No
She didn't even know who he was

I don't really think they were interested in each other. If the books were written for adults, there would be more of this kind of stuff in it. But the books were written for children, so its not likely. Mr. Jacques probably thought of this somewhere along the way but didn't put it in because it would be a little awkward for kids to read. Plus, I haven't seen any villains do things in the books that shouldn't be named here.

Romsca

Just because BJ didn't write about it, it doesn't mean it couldn't have happened!

Rusvul

It's been a while since I read Pearls of Lutra, but I am thinking of going back to it,  I doubt that Romsca had a love interest though. And, I think she would be somewhere around 30, if she were a human. 20 seems a bit young for a corsair who's pretty much seen all the corsair-y stuff there is.

Shadowed One

I doubt she was very young, though.
Martin the Warrior is way more epic than Mickey Mouse. Anyone who says otherwise is insane, or just wrong.

Nah, I don't think she liked Barranca, I personnaly didnt like him myself. And there is so little romance in Redwall, especially among the vermin, that I don't think Brian Jacques would even consider something like that.
And Barranca wasnt awesome enough for Romsca.  ;D

And what exactly do you mean by "Barranca wasn[']t awesome enough for Romsca"?

Maudie

Because Romsca was awesomer than Barranca  ;D

Romsca

Would you mind EXPLAINING WHY?

Maudie

Don't you think so? I mean, Barranca was cool, but he wasn't awesome like Romsca.

For one thing: she was a female, ;D
two: she helped Abbot Durral,
three: She died like a hero
four: She was good at heart
five: she was more interesting to read about

Thats all I can think of right now, but I think they are pretty good reasons ;D

But that isn't any reason why she (Romsca the character) wouldn't like Barranca.

Maudie

No, those are reasons why Romsca is more awesomer (;D) than Barranca. And here is another one: She was the only female corsair captain in the whole series, and I think she was the best corsair captain in the series, too.

We are saying Romsca is better than Barranca that doesn't mean Barranca is bad or we don't like him.

True enough, but Romsca was on the "bad side" in the begining too.
