Frozen was awesome no matter what anyone else says. ;D

Frozen was a good movie, to be sure, but nowhere close to awesome. People just think it's so great because it's self-aware about Disney cliches, but it's still got some plot holes, illogical things and failures.

^^ Yes. So many. For instance, no one ate during the movie, didn't show sleeping, how on Earth did Anna get to Elsa to save her in time when she could barely move, need I go on?

I believe the part after they grow up was just a couple days, so they wouldn't have to eat. And why would you wanna see them sleep?

That... is not the implication that Groddil meant.

Yeah, I meant the old movie locked up in Disney's vault that, depending on your personal views, is either trying to portray African Americans in a positive light for its time, or is racist garbage.

...but the fact that these 11 year olds are running around doing things adults would find difficult easily? Yeah, no, I don't think so.
Which eleven-year olds?

I think we have to "adjust for era" sometimes when it comes to making judgments about historical story-telling. For example, it strikes me as insane to claim that Huckleberry Finn, for instance, is "racist" when the point of Mr. Twain's book was a bold thrust against the culture of that day. I don't know much about SotS, but if it portrays a black man in any other role besides ignorant comic relief, or the "noble savage", it was a step forward for its time.

As far as Frozen goes, I thought it was pretty good, with great songs, and certainly as worthy of praise as any other Disney classic. Maybe there were some weaknesses here and there, but overall I thought it made up for those flaws.

I'd rather not give any opinions on it, its best if you watched it for yourself.

I didn't like Frozen, but as far as the story and singing goes it was certainly better then Disney movies like Snow White, and Cinderella.

BTW are we counting Pixar as strictly Disney, because while Disney owns Pixar, and well Pixar movies are some of the best, they are often considered separate from Disney.

Cool, so has anyone seen their latest two Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur? I haven't seen them yet but I want to know if they are ten out of ten, would recommend?

Inside Out was great! It had some sad moments, but didn't make me cry like it did most people. Then again, though, I didn't get sad when I watched the Lion King.
Anyway, Inside Out. I thought the characters were pretty well thought-out and funny, and the movie did have its intense moments, especially towards the end, which really caught me off guard since I was expecting it to be a really lame movie for seven year olds...Yeah.
But my friend convinced me to go see it with her and I actually thought it was awesome.  ;D

Haven't seen the Good Dinosaur, though.
Might rent it when it comes out on DVD. ;)

@LT Sandpaw I'd give Inside out a 9.5/10, (simply because a compete 10 is ultra hard to reach). It was fantastic.
The Good Dinosaur was good, not what I was expecting. It had a very Western feel to the entire thing. It was good, maybe a 8.5/10, but not Pixar's best work. But good.

Interesting....
You kinda made me curious now...

They had a showing of Inside Out here on campus last fall, and I went with a large group of friends.  I enjoyed it, and thought it was a great balance of cute and feel-sy (best I can put it at the moment), and I'd recommend it to others, but I'm not in much of a hurry to see it again.  It was a bit of a one-and-done for me.
I've never heard of the dinosaur one....

Lots of people I know just weren't interested enough to go see the dinosaur one. I'm not surprised you never heard of t. XD
