Long Patrol

[Mattio]

General Sabachtre walked along the ranks giving support whenever needed. He walked up to the Badger Lord Ravenpaw. "We are all ready for a jolly ole battle,sah. You there are you a recruit?" He said while pointing at Marlin.

[W0NWILL]

"Er, er, yes sah." Marlin stammered and saluted furiously, "Just joined last naght. Came from the nort'lands." He had a northern accent, but not very noticeable.

[Mattio]

"Come up 'ere chap. Thank you for joinin' this jolly ole patrol ,you'll hate it at first. Eh, wot?" He asked the rest of the patrol

Halftail

Halftail looked at his maps again for possibly the tenth time that day. Salamandastron should be on the horizon by now he thought. Not that it really mattered. They would get there, sooner or later. What mattered most was getting food for his starving crew. A starving crew could easily become a mutinous crew, and he knew for his own sake that they should forage for food before attacking the mountain.

OOC: Should Longears spot Salamandastron first?

Alastair

The young hare had traveled a long way to get to Salamandastron. As he looked up at the huge mountain, he tried to ignore the doubt he felt about whether he would get accepted or not. There was no turning back now. He went up and knocked on the giant, oaken door that kept the place safe from vermin.

"My name's Alistair, sah, and I want to join the Long Patrol."

"Ah, come in" he said as he opened the gates

OOC: @WONWILL: Can you have Longears spot Salamandastron? Please? If you don't want him to, please tell me!

BIC: Longears called up to the lookout, a weasel called Dipper, "Eh! Is shore in sight?" Dipper shaded his eyes, "Barely. Better evidence is da seabirds." He called down.
Longears had no reason to doubt Dipper, he had the best eyes in the crew, Longears cupped his paw around his mouth, "Land ho!"

OOC: They're on a ship, I thought, unless you want Longears to be in command of a horde that later joins Halftail's crew

Halftail

Halftail had seen the seagulls too. Why hadn't he remembered that that was a sign of being near land? His late father had been the captain of this crew. Only a few months ago, he died. Ever since then, Halftail had been in command. Halftail felt incompetent, and he tried to ignore the doubt he felt about his success as a leader. Oh well, too late now. They were nearing Salamandastron and he needed to appear fearless to his crew.

Alistair

As the general led him down the hall, Alistair was admiring the suits of armor, most of them made for hares. He also wondered what weapon he would eventually get, as a Long Patrol hare. "Sah," he asked, "will I get a sword like this one?" He grabbed a sword from a nearby suit of armor. As he did, it fell. "Sorry, s-sah!" he stammered. "I'll fix it!" He started trying to fix it, but it kept falling over.

The corsair ship sailed closer, and now Salamandastron was in sight. She was sailing just south of it, though, so they could get more rations and to recruit woodland vermin for the attack on Salamandastron.
