Trinn finished breakfast and went to the kitchens to see what was going on there. Already they were busy. Trinn stood and watched all that was going on, wishing that she could be a part of it.

Abbess Rose saw Trinn standing by the door. "She is old enough to help this year." She thought. She made her way through the maze of creatures to were Trinn was standing.

"Hello Trinn, isn't it a wonderful day? I always like getting ready for a feast."

"Yes, Trinn replied, it is so exciting to watch."

"Would you like to help?" Asked the Abbess

"Oh, I would love to!" Exclaimed Trinn

The Abbess led Trinn over to an empty space on the counter.

"I will show you how to make blueberry scones." said the abbess

Trigoma

trigoma glanced at joey from the far side of the table. "i hear you a warrior mate. sounds good. any good at throwng knives?" asked trigoma.

OOC: in other words trigoma is trying to get info on the defence redwall has. but the vole will steal the sword, i wont lol. it will be all in the plot :D

@headinanothergalaxy= i know your trying to keep all this sticking to redwall books, but its also just for fun, so we can take our own route as its about the creativeness :D

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

Trigoma

Joey looked at Trigoma in a confused way. "Throwing knives? I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean. I know what throwing knives are, but what exactly are you asking?" Joey replied
Received mostly negative reviews.

Trigoma

trigoma replied. "just saying that no one, not even a warrior can out throw Trigoma!" said trig aggressively.

"I can throw knives!" said Sundew from across the room. She walked up to Trigoma and looked at him. "Care to let me know why you were wondering?"

Grabbing Togan by the paw Sundew said, "No! You're a blooming abbey beast. If I had my way, I would not have learned the art of knife throwing. Better good eat your food, wot!" Sundew stamped her foot paw in anger. There she went again, talking like a hare.

Shellmara Galedeep watched the Abbey gates from behind a tree. She was nervous of going in, because she had not been around otherbeasts very much.
Finally the young ottermaid walked up to the gates, gulped nervously, and knocked.

Abbess Rose who had went outside for a break from the hot kitchens thought she heard something at the gates. She opened them just a little to see what it was and then, seeing that it was an ottermaid, opened the gate wide for her to come in.

"Hello, said the abbess, welcome to Redwall Abbey. Are you hungry?"

Webbtail was keeping watch on the dibbuns, who were playing in the shallows of the abbey pond. Then the Abbess wandered by, with a beast he had not seen before. "Hey, matey!" he shouted.

The sun shined down just as brightly as it had the day before, but Terrus' spirits and circumstances had changed for the worse. The road that had seemed friendly and amenable to travel just yesterday inexplicably became harsh and unforgiving, as the vole came farther along the trail. Bonny and Clearie (who was a very attractive piece of quartz) weren't talking to each other for some reason. The food left in the pack, instead of asking to be eaten, had decided to go stale, and so Terrus had had nothing to eat since yesterday evening.

To make it even worse, he had had nothing but nightmares all night long, terrible dreams about a vicious armor-clad shadow and the foreboding blood-red fortress he was soon to arrive at. Depressed, hungry and sleep-deprived, the vole doggedly trod down the path.

After about an hour, his determination was awarded with a glimpse of red in the distance.

"So this is the infamous 'Redwall Abbey'," the vole said. "How do you think we're to get in?"

Terrus waited, but no advice was forthcoming from anyone, so after a minute he continued on down the path.

--

As Terrus neared the gate a few minutes later, he had the chance to examine the building closer. She seemed considerably nicer and prettier than she had when he saw her a few hours before, in his sleeping time. Also, there were no other guards in sight; no apparent defense other than the wall itself. The pine marten, Sereh, had mentioned that all kinds of badgers, otters and mice were normally about to defend the place, so Terrus was surprised at the apparent contradiction.

"Well, maybe they're off-duty," Terrus concluded. "Anyway, the business now is finding the way inside." After noticing the gate, which looked as though he wanted to be knocked on, the vole gave him three quick, strong raps. "Thank you," said Terrus. "Please let them know that I need in if they don't come right away."
