Both of them are in the hobbit. Cumberbatch will play Smaug.

That's cool! But how can Cumberbatch play Smaug? Smaug is a dragon!

yes, he does, Have you even read the book?  The movie is split into 3 parts, and he hasn't yet, but he does talk.

I just stared reading the book, so I still don't know much about the Hobbit.

The guy who plays Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman, is his name?) Is my third favourite actor, just slightly behind Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.

At least you know more than the person who posted (in the comments for the Hobbit trailer), and I quote: "This is such an obvious LOTR ripoff, please tell me this is a joke. It even looks like the same actor plays the wizard...has Hollywood really come to this?"
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

The Hobbit is not a ripoff!!! Its a great movie! How can somebody think that about the Hobbit?

Lol, they were probably joking, saying that it's a ripoff due to the fact that they have many of the same characters and the same sort of storyline.  If they weren't joking, they obviously didn't know that The Hobbit was a prequel.  They probably thought, "Well, this is stupid, someone stole the idea from LotR and just turned it into another trilogy!"

I've been reading the original Sherlock Holmes recently. I just relized that The Adventure Of The Cardboard Box and The Adventure Of The Illustrous Client arn't the most friendly stories. :-\

Yes, wasn't the cardboard box one kind of gruesome?

Yes; and it also had a martial twist to it. Did you know that, at first, publishers refused to publish it?

Jukka the Sling

Really? I don't remember the martial twist though...
