Ah, see. I have not the ability to tell whether or not a gun is aftermarket. They're not really my area of expertise.

Just a question, SKar: How have you broken these knives? Were these forgings that didn't turn out the way they should've, or did you overstress a commercial knife?

The latter, for the most part. But I have done my fair share of the former.
A lot of knives I got when I was younger weren't very good quality, and either by pushing them past their limits or using them until they were worn out, I have gone through many knives.

I hve no idea why, but almost all gun owners hate Hi-points with a passion. It's basically a joke gun in many circles. However, they are indeed cheap, look it, have horrible ergonomics, are top-heavy, and tend to be incredibly reliable. I don't think anybody who can afford anything different takes Hi-points seriously.

Right now, all I carry is a jacknife and a 1911.  My grandfather owns many antique guns, but I manage them, store them and use them.

It is. Only problem is that I'm a terrible shot. Can't hit a target outside of 20 feet.

One of my friend's friends (bear with me) has been able to hit shotgun shells at forty yards. With a pistol.
